6 Letter and Communication cinema option terms

The goal of this glossary is to help you to understand words that are important in my program. Knowing these terms will help you to understand what the students in the classes of cinema learn. It will also help you to understand the jobs these students can do after their studies. These terms are always use in this program, and I will explain to you what they mean.

Actor
Noun
Person that the profession is to interpret characters for movies.
Example: Joey is an ACTOR and is very 'airhead'; he often takes a lot of time to understand jokes and indirect speeches.

Cinema
Noun
Art of composing and making motion pictures.
Example: Finally, the film also shows us how CINEMA can use ancient Rome to comment on modern issues and ways of life, thus making film an important medium for the construction of Rome in the present.

Director
Noun
Person that creates the history of the movie, and who takes the decisions on the movie set.
Example: He is the DIRECTOR of a lot of popular movies.

Documentary
Noun
Movie that report real things and show the reality without script.
Example: A reason for continuing to ban whaling is that we do not know the full effect of whaling has on the oceans system, in a BBC DOCUMENTARY "Blue Planet" it is shown that the corpse of whale feeds large numbers of fish(thousands), from groups of sharks to bottom feeders, for months even years.

Movie
Noun
Cinematographic work telling a fictional story filmed on a film set with cameras.
Example: This essay will examine the ways in which meaning is mediated through discursive dialogues in Joseph Conrad's Heart of Darkness , and directors Andy and Larry Wachowski's 1999 MOVIE The Matrix .

Script
Noun
Text where the history of the movie and the speech of the characters is written in detail. The actions, the decors and the costumes are also written in this document.
Example: The SCRIPT of this movie has two thousand three hundred forty-one pages.
